FESTIVALS.... Live Oak Music Festival – One of the best little music festivals around and I've had the honor of being the "Mixmaster of Ceremonies" there since 1999. California World Music Festival – Seven stages of music and dance and other magic from around the world, camping with family and friends, workshops, international food, fine crafts, great children's programs and honoring diversity and peace of our global village! Millpond Music Festival - Another one of California's crown jewels of music festivals celebrating American roots and international music. The Inyo Council for the Arts is in it's second decade of offering this beautiful event on the Eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada outside of Bishop, CA. We musicians provide outreach to the Inyo County's rural communities and I'm honored to Emcee the event now. Strawberry Music Festival - I was at the first one almost 25 years ago and I've either been there pitching tents or pitching notes and grooves from the main stage ever since. A northern California tradition. Magnolia Music Festival - Along the banks of the Suwanee River in north Florida, the fine folks of this festival have much to be proud of. I'm grateful to have been invited into the Magnolia Family many times now to perform, give workshops and present in the local schools through the great work of the Live Oak Muisc and Arts Foundation (LOMAF)! Wintergrass - The Great "Festival In A Box" of the Great Northwest! It happens every February in Tacoma, WA. Basically indoors and basically awesome. I help coordinate and instruct the Wintergrass Youth Academy which is an awesome program for young, inspiring musicians! American River Music Festival - A new music festival along the banks of the beautiful American River and at the site of the California Gold Rush at Sutter's Mill in Coloma. www.americanrivermusicfestival.com PEOPLE and PROJECTS... The Alison Brown Quartet - Alison is a Grammy winning banjoist and co-owner, along with her husband Garry West, of Compass Records in Nashville.
